Renee Whitehouse
Property Manager

With 25 years in property management, although Renee insists she must have started when she was 10, there’s not much she hasn’t seen, solved or navigated along the way.

It’s the unpredictability of property management that she still loves most. You can start the day thinking everything is under control, only for one phone call or email to completely change the plan. Whether it’s coordinating urgent maintenance, helping an investor with the next addition to their portfolio or making someone’s day by approving their application for a new home, Renee thrives on the variety, problem solving and, most importantly, the people that come with the role. And, of course, the rare satisfaction of a completely clear inbox.

Her golden rule is simple: do what you say you’re going to do.

Renee believes great property management is built on follow through, clear communication and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. Whether the news is good, bad or somewhere in between, she’d rather have the conversation and keep everyone informed than leave people wondering what’s happening.

Like many Property Managers, Renee somewhat fell into the industry at 19 and is very glad she did. Before property management, she was working on the checkout at Bi-Lo in the old Chadstone Shopping Centre. Growing up in Carnegie, she once dreamed of becoming either a photographer or a detective, and jokes that property management has probably given her a little taste of the latter.

Outside of work, Renee is rarely sitting still. She plays netball twice a week, loves lifting weights at the gym and is happiest starting the weekend with a workout followed by a beach walk, coffee in hand. Add some time in nature, her favourite people, amazing food and a cheeky margarita or glass of wine, and she’s pretty happy.

She’s also a huge live music fan and would love to join Mumford & Sons on their tour across the world, just to see them play again. Further down the bucket list is an African safari or hot air ballooning over Turkey.

At Podium, Renee brings 25 years of experience, a genuine love for the industry and plenty of energy for whatever the day throws at her. Her approach is simple: straightforward advice, consistent communication and doing what she says she’ll do, giving owners and renters confidence that their property is in good hands.
